Portfolio
Welcome to my portfolio, a showcase of projects that embody my approach to storytelling, content strategy, and collaboration. My work is driven by a commitment to uplift Black, femme, and intersectional voices with narratives that go beyond surface-level representation to honor the full complexity of human experiences.
The Importance of Representation
As part of the Listen & Level Up series, a project I created, produced, and hosted for B Lab U.S. & Canada Level program, this conversation highlights the power of representation through the voices of five remarkable Black and Latina women entrepreneurs: Melissa Sue John of Lauren Simone Publishing House, Farmer Cee of Green Heffa Farms, Asha Wheeldon of KULA Foods, Aurora Archer of The Opt-In, and Carolina Arias of Descalza.
This discussion delves into the challenges these leaders have faced in their industries and how they integrate cultural heritage into their business practices to drive social impact. With candor and insight, they share their journeys of breaking barriers, innovating for community empowerment, and reshaping narratives to create space for future generations of women of color in entrepreneurship.
The Listen & Level Up series was designed to amplify voices that deserve to be heard, connecting them to audiences who resonate with their stories of resilience, innovation, and change.
Thank you to my friends at Magnet Media for bringing the vision to life and being amazing thought and creative partners for this project.
Restoration in Action
"Restoration in Action" reflects on what restoration means for Black, brown, woman, and queer-owned companies within the B Lab U.S. & Canada ecosystem as they work toward racial equity and impact improvement. This video highlights B Lab U.S. & Canada's four-pillar approach—storytelling and narrative change, impact improvement, learning journeys, and the redistribution of power.
Through the stories of four pioneering B Corps and partner organizations—Tech Afrique, B More with Anu, Thurgood Marshall College Fund, and Fairware—we witness how restoration drives transformation and liberation. This project continues the journey started in our initial 2022 documentary, showcasing real progress and the expansive potential of impact storytelling.
Special thanks to Bond Studio for collaborating with us to bring this vision to life.

"I have had the pleasure of working closely with Lauren over the past several years, most notably on an award-winning branded documentary for B Lab U.S. & Canada entitled Restoration in Action. Throughout this project and other collaborations, Lauren's refined creative direction, graceful leadership, and seasoned communication skills shone brightly and were essential for project success. Balancing the diverse needs of several internal and external project stakeholders, Lauren elegantly navigated complexity with ease and patience, guiding the project to exceed expectations on time and within budget. I have witnessed Lauren act as both a logistical liaison and creative visionary, utilizing her multifaceted skill set to tell stories that empower communities, mobilize organizations, and instill hope."
